Hues of Life
A butterfly and its wings can teach us
what life can be.
For each of us, we struggle to no end
but in the end, we could too, be.
Life gives us all, the same colours and
brush and wall
Some cling to the paints, some to the hues of red
some to blue, yet others, to the wall.
The grey was on my fingers first, then
it grew onto my hand.
Now, I lift up my eyes, and the world,
all grey, as I stare and stand.
Multitude of hues, all grey, about a thousand
everyday I see
Teeming in and out of my world, with no love,
no time to spare.
Have heard about the world, its the most colourful,
they say.
Wither do i look, all through my life, I have only known
the grey.
I look up, to the sky, vast and free.
A raindrop, or two, fall on me.
The drops falling down on me, cleanse me
- my body, my mind.
Now I see a butterfly, in all its splendour,
colourful and glee.
I look around myself, I can't see me.
Just a wisp of white, as i take wings.
